Cross the railway bridge and the Alderley Edge bypass then turn right on Sand Lane.

At the T junction turn left. This is a busier road but wide with good visibility.

Turn right past the school and continue straight up cobbled Bradford Lane.

At the top of the hill bear left to the T junction.

At the T junction with the main road take the bridle path on the left parallel to the main road.

At the end of the bridle path turn left on Artist`s Lane then immediately right into Windmill Wood passing through the gap beside the forestry gate.

Follow this track, keeping to the fence on the left edge of the wood. At the foot of the slope bear right.

At the crossing of tracks bear left to Artist`s Lane and turn right.

Cross straight over the main road onto Welsh Row, follow this back over the A34 and railway bridge to your starting point.
